Tinnitus

"Tinnitus is the perception of sound within the human ear in the absence of corresponding external sound."

I, unfortunately, am a sufferer of tinnitus. Normally it is random, short and inconsequential. Recently, however, it has become more prevalent, and as such more bothersome.
I would describe the sound as being... like static, but it's overlapping some other noise, which at present I cannot distinguish.
At first I assumed it was my shitty headphones, but it persisted after their removal.
I should probably see some form of medical expert :/

Good day, ladies and gentlemen of the internet. I have heard tell that writing a blog is therapeutic, and it has been advised by certain parties that I attempt to write one. As for why I would need such an effect is beyond my knowledge, but persistent annoyance eventually wore me down. So:

Hi, my chosen moniker is Snufkin, the name of what could be described as my favorite character of the Swedish/'Finnish children's cartoon Moomin. He is a nomad and presented as somewhat of an anarchist. Read into that choice of name if you wish.

I am a fairly passive person, I don't display much emotion and I generally try not to associate myself with other people. Many who see this behavior come to the mistaken conclusion that I am lonely, and perhaps I am sometimes, but no more than anyone else.

I am an Atheist and sceptical about supernatural happenings. I enjoy video games and I continually search to expand my knowledge. I have a passing interest in tactics and war, as well as martial arts and efficient self-defence.

As for what I'll actually be posting here, I don't really know, probably just uninteresting occurrences in my life.
